Projects

Speakers Project

Over the years, we have discovered that one method of raising awareness triumphs above all others; telling a real life story. In 2010, we aim to roll out an exciting new speakers project, in which we will be training and supporting members of the Transplant community to give talks and presentations. More information coming soon.

Robyn's Rainbows

Robyn’s Rainbows came about in August 2007, when we sent Robyn Tainty, who was in desperate need of a double-lung transplant, a balloon as a beacon of hope. Putting a smile on somebody's face is important, especially when there isn't much to smile about - and LLTGL continue to fund this project.

Advocates

Our advocates are based all over the UK and help us raise awareness through the organisation of events and by having a presence in the media. Each of them have different reasons to be involved with the charity, and each brings with them invaluable experience. Some of our advocates are recipients of transplants, some are waiting for transplants, some are relatives of those on the giving and receiving end of transplants, and others are loved ones of those whose time simply ran out.

Intoto Forum

Intoto is a forum, created and run by LLTGL. It has been created to bring together individuals affected by organ/tissue donation and transplantation along with members of the many organisations and campaigns that exist in the UK and worldwide. The forum aims to provide a meeting point where members can register free in order to talk to, support and share ideas with each other.

For access to the forum, please click here.

Research

LLTGL have been funding some amazing research into Organ Donation. We can't say too much just yet, until everything has been approved by the researchers. As soon as we can, you'll be the first to know.
